Dr. William Anthony Jordan serves as the Senior Pastor of Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. A native of Alexandria, LA, Dr. Jordan was born May 6, 1974 to Ollie J. Jordan and the late Jeff Jordan. Being reared in a Christian home, he confessed Christ and was baptized in 1986 by the late Rev. John L. Valley at the Second Nazarene Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Dr. Jordan received and acknowledged his call to the ministry on August 15, 1993. He received his license to preach God's Word on January 30, 1994 and became an ordained minister on October 21, 1996 under the auspices of the Educational Baptist Association. His education foundation consists of Baptist Christian University and Louisiana Baptist Seminary both of Shreveport, Louisiana; the United Theological Seminary and Bible University of Port Arthur, Texas. On December 28, 2004 Dr. Jordan received his Bachelor of Theology degree and was conferred with his Master of Theology Degree on November 8, 2005 both from the Slidell Baptist Seminary. Pastor Jordan is a Heritage Registry Who's Who of 2005 inductee. In July 2009, he did his post grad work at Regents Park on the Campus of Oxford University in England. In 2013 He was conferred with a Doctor of Theology degree from Slidell Baptist Seminary.
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Dr. William A. Jordan has pastored: The Daughter of Zion Baptist Church in Poland, Louisiana from 1997 - 2001; Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Port Arthur, Texas from 2001 – 2003. Pastor Jordan is a member of Brentwood Baptist Church located in Houston, TX under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Joe Samuel Ratliff.
Because of God’s Grace, He is empowered to reach the lost at any cost, by continuing to preach and teach the Word of God in order to exalt the Savior, evangelize the sinner, equip the saved and edify the saints! Dr. Jordan is the founder of WAJ Ministries which was birthed in order to expand his commitment to service and mentoring other leaders. As he travels the country ministering the Word of God, he has become a leader’s leader, leveraging WAJ Ministries to tap into his gifts and help others develop the principles it takes to survive and serve in excellence.
Having authored his first book, Storm Survivors, which was released in January 2013. His power-filled, impactful messages are sure to be the “How to” for ministries and leadership training around the world.
Dr. William Anthony Jordan is married to Nikki Ellis Jordan and they have been blessed with one son, Jeff Taylor and one daughter Amiya Elizabeth.
